Juventus and Nice are set to face off in a preseason friendly in their preparation for their respective leagues. Both sides had disappointing endings to last season and will be hoping for perfect preps for better campaigns. In preseason so far, both have been strong defensively, and our prediction is for this match to have a clean sheet.

In the coming season, Juventus will not be in the Champions League as a result of poor form towards the end of last season. They were beaten to fourth place by an impressive Como.

The Old Lady started their preseason regime with a goalless draw with Basel before seeing off Standard Liege 1-0 in the last game.

Nice’s season was more dramatic than Juventus’. In a campaign where they took part in the league phase of the Europa League, Nice also reached the final of the French Cup.

In the same season, though, they were forced to take part in the relegation playoff. Nice saw it all in 2025/26 and will be targeting a better run-out next season.

Their preseason results have reflected on that ambition. They started off with a 4-0 win against Nimes before shocking heavyweights Marseille 3-0. Their challenge gets tougher with Juventus next in line, but Les Aiglons’ confidence can’t be ignored.
